Privacy Policy

JATES ("JATES", "we", "us") is a job-search and application assistant operated by Vira Hub LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the JATES website, desktop app, and mobile apps.

The short version: your data exists to fill your job applications on devices you sign in to. We don't sell it, we don't use it for advertising, and you can delete all of it at any time.

Information we collect

• Account details. Your email address, and either a password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text) or a unique identifier from a sign-in provider if you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple.
• Profile information you enter. Details you choose to save for filling applications — such as your name, contact information, education, work history, and answers to application questions (your "Q&A history").
• Documents you upload. Files such as a resume/CV or cover letter that you attach so they can be reused in applications.
• Job activity. Which roles you view, save, hide/block, or mark as applied, so the catalog and your history stay useful.
• Technical data. A device identifier used to sync your data between your devices, plus basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service: filling job-application fields from your profile and past answers.
• To sync your profile, documents, and history across the devices you sign in to.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the product.

JATES never submits an application on your behalf — it fills and queues, and you press Submit. We do not use your profile or history for any other person or purpose.

Sign in with Google and Apple

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your verified email address and a unique account identifier from that provider, solely to create or log you into your JATES account. We do not post anything to those accounts or access any other information from them. Apple may provide a private relay email ("Hide My Email"); we treat it the same as any other email.

How your data is stored and shared

Your data is stored on servers we control. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and passwords are hashed.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers (for example, hosting and email delivery) that process data only on our behalf and under our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the service.

Your choices and rights

• Access & correct. You can view and edit your profile data in the app at any time.
• Delete. You can permanently delete your account from the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, documents, Q&A history, and job activity from our active systems.
• Export. Contact us if you'd like a copy of the data associated with your account.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your associated data is removed from our active systems; routine backups, if any, age out on their normal cycle.

Children

JATES is intended for people seeking employment and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website.
